GRAND OPENING!!
The Otto Armleder Memorial Park and Recreation Complex is complete! (well, almost) The second largest park in the city of Cincinnati, Otto Armleder Memorial Park is 323 acres of fun! Located in Linwood off of Wooster Pike, the park boasts a 1.9-mile multi-purpose trail, seven soccer fields, a large playground, a sheltered pavilion and a concession building with rest-rooms. The park also houses a 10-acre dog park with three different fenced in areas for separating large and small breeds. This is in fact the completion of only the first phase of three. In 2007, there will be a canoe and kayak access point to the Little Miami River as well as a scenic overlook. There are eventual plans to link the park's trail to the 453-mile Ohio to Erie Trail which runs from Cincinnati to the Lake Erie shore in Cleveland. We can thank the collaboration of the Cincinnati Recreation Commission, the Cincinnati Park Board, and the Hamilton County Park District as well as the generous Armleder family for the success of this large project.
