CRC Announces Grants to Artists and Arts Organizations

Nine artists and sixteen organizations will receive grants from the City of Cincinnati’s 2007 Individual Artist Grant Program and Small Arts Organization Grant Program. The grants will help support activities such as exhibitions of visual art, performing arts productions, literary arts and music programs, a music festival, and interdisciplinary workshops in creative writing, visual arts and storytelling for residents of five low-income, inner-city neighborhoods. Cricket Succeed & Play Sports Camp 
Fifty Students Involved in Month Long Camp, 
Learn New Skills On and Off the Field 
 July 6, 2007 - Cricket Communications, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services is making it possible for 50 middle school and Jr. High summer school students from North Avondale, South Avondale, Burton and Rockdale to go to summer camp. Cricket is sponsoring the Cricket Succeed & Play Sports Camp, in cooperation with the Cincinnati Recreation Commission (CRC) with support from Cincinnati Public Schools, Cincinnati After School Program. (Read full story).
